Since 1998 Bulgarian leaders, experts and administrators have benefited from the ECESP academic training program by participating in more than 90 long-term (6 to 12 months) and 70 short-term programs at U.S. and third-country universities. The program has resulted in the enhanced capacity of mid-level managers and professionals to contribute to Bulgaria’s transition to a market-based democracy, while working in the areas of risk management, public administration, local governance, health and pension reform, conflict resolution and civil society organizations.
