Project description:
SUNY organized two workshops: one on communication and interaction between parliament and NGOs, and the other on strengthening committee operations. An additional six workshops were run at the MP conference itself focusing on the following topics: media, ethics, constituency relations, lobbying, public hearings, and bridging the “perception-reality” gap. SUNY also produced a handbook on the 39th National Assembly, a management review of the National Assembly’s administration, and two informational brochures. SUNY supplemented these activities with assistance to the Parliamentary Information Center on public outreach and to the Research, Analysis and Forecast Department on organizational structure.
